How to Use Advanced Button Operations
Everyday operations such as wake-up, enrollment status, manual reporting, and restart are documented in 3.1 Button operations and LED status. The operations below are used less often.
1. Advanced Button Operations
While the node is awake:
| Operation | Result |
|---|---|
| Hold for at least 10 seconds, then release when the red, green, and blue LEDs cycle | Restores factory settings |
| 5 quick clicks | The node enters sleep mode |
| 8 quick clicks | The node enters Bootloader mode |
2. When to Restore Factory Settings
Factory reset is rarely required. After a restart, the device automatically clears the network. Restore factory settings only after changing infrequently used configuration, or when a firmware upgrade requires the protocol files stored on the device to be refreshed.
If a device already has a saved configuration, upgrading the firmware does not overwrite the stored LoRa region or enrollment configuration. Each unit ships with a fixed Region set during manufacturing. After a factory reset, the node returns to the not-enrolled state while keeping the shipping Region of its firmware.
